VTS Scheme -
Chichester Vocational Training Scheme

Team Members:

Dr K Chadwick

Dr David Pullan

The VTS scheme in Chichester offers 12 rotations from August 07. These are normally of 3 years duration comprising 2 years of hospital posts relevant to General Practice training followed by a year as a registrar in a local training practice. The rotations include 4 monthly posts in medicine (various specialties), A & E, Paediatrics, O & G, Surgery, Psychiatry and Palliative Care.

On-going General Practice input for those in hospital posts is provided by release for 1-2 days in each 4 month post to a local training practice. This is usually the practice where the registrar year will take place and the educational content is planned by the SHO and the trainer.

The Course Organisers are happy to discuss individual doctors requirements and any issues relating to GP Training.  They have different responsibilities and it is therefore preferable to contact Pauline Price, Course Administrator, in the first instance.
