PORTABLE DATA PRESENTERS ON TROLLEYS

These can be used in any of our seminar rooms within CMEC with our Laptops or your own.

WE STRONGLY ADVISE THAT YOU PRACTICE WITH THE SYSTEM REQUIRED IF YOU ARE UNFAMILIAR WITH IT.

NOTE  1  Laptop connections.

Some new laptops screens are now able to work at resolutions above the standard 800x600 or 1078x768 that are used my most Data Presenters (LCD Projectors). This and other technicalities may make using your laptop with our equipment difficult.

To overcome most of these problems it will be necessary to switch off your laptop screen and work from the projected image from the Data Presenter. This is what is known as the active display.

Therefore it is important for you to know how to change the active display.

There are 3 active displays options :-

1. Presentation on Laptop screen  only

2. Presentation displayed from data presenter only

3. Presentation on Laptop and from data presenter

It is important that you know how to change between each of these, especially if your computer is set to option 1.  Please consult your laptop handbook.

Note:  I would advise all laptop users to bring a backup copy of their files on disc, acetate or in printed form.
