Hello, I am Bebba Smithers, Postgraduate Education Manager and GP Education Manager here at St Richard's Hospital.  We run an extremely busy educational program for hospital doctors, dentists and GP's, as well as medical students.

I put together and run the GP Thursday lunch lectures and the bi-yearly GP 3 Day Refresher Courses all of which are very well attended.  I am also very involved in the Enspiral project (protected monthly half day educational program for all the GP practice team).  I also put together the dental program, which is one of the largest in the south.  We have an excellent dental teaching facility with a phantom head room and separate dental teaching surgery both video linked, and we are able to run both dental lectures for large audiences and hands-on courses for small groups throughout the program.

I am also responsible for junior doctor and consultant study leave and budget allocations.

I manage the Postgraduate Education Centre and we are lucky to have such a modern and well equipped Centre with all the latest technology including ceiling mounted data-presenters and computers in the lecture theatres and large hall, mobile date-presenters and computers in the seminar rooms and video conferencing facilities, etc.  The Centre is constantly in use during the days, evenings and weekends and is an important educational environment.
