I have responsibility for those SHO posts which are specifically for GP training – i.e.  on the Vocational Training Scheme. However you are aware that many of your jobs are recognized for GP training and if you wish to discuss a career in Primary Care please contact me.

I can give advice about posts you need, and also about application for training on VTS schemes –probably mainly for PRHO's , and registrar posts in local practices.

There are also possibly opportunities for part-time training.

The opportunities now for a career in Primary Care are very varied and exciting. – not only as partners, but as assistants, retainers, the new Flexible careers scheme, working in Primary Care Trusts and in the future as GP specialists.
