Chichester Medical Education Centre (CMEC) is a purpose built facility, finished in 1991, on the St. Richard’s Hospital campus. It is a registered charity (Registered Charity No. 244559) administered by a board of Trustees and independent from St Richard’s Hospital. CMEC is a non-profit making organisation and any charges made are used to update and maintain the equipment and building.
The Centre
The ground floor of the Centre provides an excellent range of conference and seminar facilities. There are seven seminar/tutorial rooms, two tiered lecture theatres and a hall capable of seating 250 people. All rooms are well equipped with audio-visual facilities, including satellite and overhead projection in the larger lecture theatre.
The foyer provides an attractive setting and is an excellent reception point prior to the start of a meeting and is an ideal place for larger groups to register. It is also ideal for displaying exhibition stands or for refreshment breaks during meetings.
The Centre has a separate dining room which is available for breakfast and evening functions. There is also a kitchen within CMEC which can be made available to outside caterers at certain times. The Hospital Catering Department is able to offer a wide range of options from tea and coffee to a three course meal. Contact them direct to discuss your requirements.
We aim to be as flexible as possible and would welcome the opportunity to arrange for you to view the Centre at your convenience. Please contact Bebba Smithers, Centre Manager, to discuss this or any other requirement.
