Surgery

The department of General Surgery at SRH is divided into the following specialities:

Vascular – Mr Allen General, Endocrine and Vascular
Mr Beattie General and Vascular
Mr Hafez Vascular

Breast Surgery- Mr Bowyer and Miss Sotheran
Upper GI – Messrs Slater and Bowyer
1 x HST

2 x FY1

Colorectal – Messrs Simson, Cripps and Harris
Staff Grade Mr Dutta

Urology – Mr Carter, Mr Britton, Mrs Venn and Mr Chiverton

The aims and objectives of the surgical curriculum are to;
• ensure the highest standards of surgical practice in the UK by delivering first class surgical training
• provide a programme of training from foundation years through to the completion of specialist surgical training, culminating in the award of a CCT.
