Dear Colleague, We have recently learned of a remarkably useful resource pack for doctors who are off work through illness. It has been written by an F2 doctor in Bristol based on her own experience. I for one was not aware, for example, that F1 doctors have only 1 month of full sick pay and 1 of half pay before their salary is stopped – quite a challenge with their huge student debts! The pack is full of useful advice and links to support resources. I strongly recommend that you follow the link below and have a look at what she has put together – the UKFPO have kindly put it on their website to allow others to access it. It has relevance to all doctors, but particularly those in the earlier part of their career. http://www.foundationprogramme.nhs.uk/news/story/foundation-doctor-produces-guidance-for-doctors-on-sick-leave
