Emergency First Aid at Work (HSE Approved)

The course is appropriate for nominated emergency First Aiders, or anyone requiring a comprehensive,  one-day First Aid Course.  The course can be adapted to suit a particular audience and is ideal for lower risk businesses in accordance with the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations.

The syllabus includes:  First Aid Priorities, Examniation of the patient, Fractures, Heart Attacks, Regulations, Recording & Reporting, Stroke, Unconsciousness, Eye Injury, Basic Life Support (CPR), Control of Bleeding, Burns & Scalds, Poisoning, Choking and First Aid Kits.

The course is run over one day and includes both theory and practical elements.

3 Day First Aid at Work Course

This course is suitable for nominated workplace first aiders, or anyone wishing to have a comprehensive introduction to first aid.  It provides the candidates with the practical skills needed by a first aider in the modern workplace and will give the confidence and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies.

The sullabus includes:  Accidents & Illness, Using a First Aid Kit, Simple record keeping, Treatment of an unconscious casualty, Heart attacks, Resuscitation, Shock, Choking, Bleeding, Burns & Scalds, Poisoning, Fractures, Seizures, Asthma, Severe allergic reaction, Eye Injuries, Low blood sugar and Fainting
